Look who got the gig protecting the antiwar candidate…
This past week in Iraq and Afghanistan, Blackwater employees protected Barack Obama.
Under the ‘what were they smoking’ tab in today’s news, an organization, apparently with a straight face, is distributing a “study” that claims that the media is biased AGAINST Sen. Obama.
The George Mason University’s Center for Media and Public Affairs, says the Big Three networks were tougher on Obama than on McCain. No, really. They say that CBS, NBC and ABC were tougher on the Illinois Senator tahn Senator McCain. No, I’m serious. They claim they weren’t drunk when they did the study. That one we’re a little shaky about believing.
We’ll be waiting for the Center for Media and Public Affair’s study proving that it was actually Elvis in the Bigfoot costume and another study that proves Rush Limbaugh is actually a militant Marxist.

After that witch called them out, the lovers that were Barack and MSM had to be more careful. People were watching, and the couple pretended not to notice each other. They knew they had gone too far in public. Carefully, skillfully, they pretended not to notice, at least for the moment. But then suddenly, ding dong, the witch was dead!
The passion exploded and Barack and MSM rushed to each others’ arms, and their red, hot love gushed forth for the whole world to see. MSM said to Barry, “Je t’aime!” Barry replied, “Moi aussi, Je t’aime!”
Sacrebleu!
La Fin.
*Editor’s note: In case your name is Harry Coates, MSM stands for the languid, lovesick mainstrean media.

Can I get fries with that? What a strange quote!
“You can see Democratic establishments having a very difficult time dealing with Barack Obama. I do think he’s got such a special sauce, I do think it’s going to be even more challenging for Republicans to figure out how to deal with him. I do think that John McCain – I said this a year ago – John McCain does give Republicans a chance to win.” J.C. Watts
Speaking in Missoula Montana on April 5th, Senator and Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama promised “to appoint a high-level adviser on American Indian issues if elected president.”
This may be too little too late, however, as John Ruberry of the Marathon Pundit writes:
John McCain has been doing that for over twenty years. Who is the one ‘reaching across the aisle’ to build a consensus? As for Indians, it appears to be McCain.
Ruberry also points out that the only Native American currently serving in Congress is Tom Cole, a Chickasaw, is Republican.
American Indian activist Kayln Free is quoted by The Oklahoman:
Sen. McCain [a member of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs] has a record with Indian country. He has carried a lot of water for tribes over the years. I think it is a grave mistake for the Democratic nominee or these two candidates to think that Indian Country will be there for them just because they are the Democratic nominee.
[...]
Tribal leaders have a different standing. We are sovereign nations and there is a government-to-government relationship. The Democratic candidates vying for our support should meet with tribal leaders and hear our concerns…Republicans are reaching out to tribal leaders because of the new economic power that the wield. Tribes are playing at a different level than they were even a decade ago.
“UnitedNative,” a senior member on the Indianz.com discussion forum, points out that although Native Americans largely have a problem with the policies of the Republican Party, John McCain has stood up to member of his own party to defend Indian rights:
As president, John McCain would be the eight hundred-pound political gorilla against anti Native American groups.

OKPNS recently observed that HB 1804, aimed at penalizing employers and landlords that hire and rent to illegal aliens isn’t quite having the anticipated effect, because it is not being enforced.
Perhaps, as we suggested, it is because Oklahoma business owners have been intimidated by the threat of being sued at the Federal level for discrimination if they try to obey the law at the local level. Or, perhaps business owners have been listening to Dan Boren:
After the presidential election, I think we’re more likely to have federal legislation that will pre-empt a lot of what’s going on at the state and local level…I think we’re going to see some type of bill like [the one proposed by President Bush]. I think it’ll pass the House and Senate and be signed by the president…It’s going to be very contentious. I’d like to get this off the table as an issue so we can go forward.
And why not? There are three leading contenders for President of the United States now…two Democrats, and one who is technically a Republican who wants to be a Democrat.
Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY):
I neither support illegal immigration nor the enactment of fruitless schemes that would penalize churches and hospitals for helping the truly needy. That will not fix the mess we are in.
Millions of undocumented immigrants live and work here without our knowing their identity or their background. We need to strike a workable bargain with them. They have to acknowledge that breaking our immigration laws was wrong. They must pay a penalty, and abide by all of our laws going forward. They must earn the right to stay over a 6-year period, and then they must wait another 5 years as legal permanent residents before they become citizens.
A nonimmigrant alien…shall not be denied any right or any remedy under Federal, State, or local labor or employment law that would be applicable to a United States worker employed in a similar position with the employer because of the alien’s status as a nonimmigrant worker…An employer shall provide nonimmigrants issued a visa under this section with the same wages, benefits, and working conditions that are provided by the employer to United States workers similarly employed in the same occupation and the same place of employment.
Even Oklahoma’s Randy Terrill (R-Moore) who wrote OK HB 1804 is now saying that he won’t pursue the expansion of the immigration reform, because after the U.S. Chamber of Commerce filed suit, questioning the constitutionality of the bill, support for expanding the reforms is weak in the Oklahoma legislature.
Does this look like the campaign office for an American President, to you? This is the campaign headquarters for Barack Obama, who is in a close tie for the race for the Democrat nomination for President:

In Washington, yesterday, Obama said:
Obama, in a question-and-answer with supporters, said the U.S. had neglected Latin America under George W. Bush and he said he would meet Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
He said Chavez was consolidating power, had “despotic tendencies” and was using oil money to fan anti-Americanism, “but it is not enough to say `I oppose (Cuba’s Fidel) Castro and I oppose Chavez and that’s the end of it.”
He said Latin America will no longer be a junior partner in its relationship with Washington, and he will travel the region to talk to leaders about human rights, political prisoners in Cuba and hemispheric trade ties.

OKPNS remembers the good ole days when we had our own caucus system. However we gave that up in 88′ and alot of us hate that we did.
OKPNS also received a telephone call from a source close to former Congressman J.C. Watts and the talk of him being a V.P candidate is even more rampant throughout the Beltway and Thompson campaign. OKPNS will update you as more develops with this story.
Who would have imagined that Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee would have won the Iowa caucuses? Barack Obama has made American and Political history with his win in Iowa. Congratulations to the Obama campaign for trouncing over the Clinton Machine!
